A Historical Survey About Qilu City Development In The Pre-Qin Dynasty

The city development in the region of Qi-Lu is continuous. In collection and analysis related materials, the essay summarizes the origin and development of ancient cities in Qi-Lu region, which will contribute to the presenting distinct urban features in different historical stages and helping people to understand the relationship between city and regional society.This essay begins from the connotation and standard of city as well as the emergence of cities in early China, and then talking about the geographical environments and historical cultures of Qi-Lu.The next, the author will make analysis on the city sites in Dawenkou and LongShan period, the Xia dynasty to Western Zhou Dynasty,The Spring and Autumn and Warring period. The complementary and mutual promoting relationships between city and social economy and culture will be displayed at last.
