The dormitory labor regime is a product of industrial development, thedevelopment of rapid industrialization spawned the development of urbanization,industrial production requires a lot of manpower. In the beginning of the founding ofNew China, a large number of farmers came to the city. They become industrialworkers. People around the plant to establish dormitory.It solves a lot of people’saccommodation problem. Dormitory is foothold of family life of many urban families.A lot of family migration from rural to urban, institutionalized closure makes thesefamilies gradually out of contact with the family of the outflow, as an isolated nuclearfamily. These families in the city continue to thrive, become grandparents or parentsof most urban children.“Peacock Girl” are collectively referred to as the word for city girls from thenetwork, but in real life, is widely recognized.
