Representation is an important part in psychology. In psychology, representationindicates the representation process, in mind, of things’ images perceived in the past.It also plays an active role in geographical teaching. Students can not perceive manygeography phenomena in person, so that teachers, in teaching process, shall selectcorrect geographical representation information forms according to students’ spatialthinking features, and finally students can acquire geographical representationinformation more accurately and easily. In the thesis, various forms of geographicalrepresentation information are transformed with the combination of psychology andeducation, psychology and education as theoretical guidance, and informationtechnology, computer technology, and teaching video as methods. In addition, caseanalysis is conducted. Positive roles of psychology and education in geographicalteaching and transformation of geographical representation information are verifiedthrough front-side and rear-side control design, so as to provide some beneficialteaching thoughts for geographical educators and to provide valuable references forinnovation of geography teaching of senior high school.Contents of the thesis are researched and discussed by the author step by stepduring teaching in High School Attached to Shandong Normal University throughpractices. The thesis is made up of four parts: part1: research background isintroduced, and developments of information technology and computer mappingtechnology are mainly introduced at present, to provide technical support fortransformation of representation information; and then research significances areintroduced, which are analyzed from the angle of psychology and geographicalteaching. Part2: the concept of representation is introduced and the way of form ofgeographical representation and geographical representation information inCompulsory1of Sino-Maps Press Edition are analyzed. Part3is the central part ofthe thesis. Necessity and values for transformation of various forms of geographicalrepresentation information are discussed with education and psychology as theoreticalguidance, and case analysis is conducted too. Part4is a judge about whether theme ofthe thesis is valuable or effective or not, which is realized through front-side andrear-side control design. And at the same time, paper test is used for educationalmeasurement, while method of quantitative analysis is adopted for educationalevaluation. And finally, a conclusion that transformation of geographicalrepresentation information is very critical for facilitating students’ learning thought,understanding geographical phenomena, and mastering geographic knowledge.In the thesis, transformation and acquisition of geographical representationinformation are researched in detail, which contribute to modernization of classroomteaching technology, combination of professional disciplines, and combination ofteaching theories and teaching practices. Through transformation of geographicalrepresentation as per local conditions, teachers can strengthen students’ thinkingability, so that students can acquire geographical representation more accurately and rapidly. And at the same time, it can practice students’ representation thought, to formscientific and active representation transformation value and to improve learningefficiency.
