How to improve the teaching effect of Chinese reading teaching has always been acontinuously explore the eternal topic for Chinese teacher. At present the study of this subjectmainly focus on the reading text and teaching techniques, text is important, but the illustrationsresources that closely related to the text in the textbook also not allow ignoring. Illustrations oftextbook are the most direct image data for students; it does not need to use other media to playits role; Get it more direct, and more convenient than any other kind of teaching materials, suchas images, voice data. But most of textbook illustrations are put on the shelf by teachers in theChinese teaching practice, and I think that the textbook illustrations in the reading teaching hasimportant value, it is necessary to carry out their use in reading teaching are discussedsystematically.Introduction part firstly clearly introduced the research object of this paper; secondlycombed the domestic and foreign related research materials and literature about textbookillustrations, especially the domestic research literature about junior middle school Chinesetextbook illustrations; thirdly, simply introduced the research methods of this paper and thisresearch in the field of Chinese teaching theoretical significance and practical significance.The first part of this paper first does a simple summary about the textbook illustration offeatures, classification, and lack of tripartite. Second analysis the compilation basis of theChinese textbook illustrations, and take that compilation as the basis for writing this paper.The second part firstly discusses the unique value of the illustration in the Chinese readingteaching. For example stimulate interest in learning. After, sorting out and analyzing thequestionnaire, understand the using status and existing problems of the textbook illustrationsused in the Chinese reading teaching at present. Abuse of media images without the textbookillustrations.The third part, first of all, to clarify several principles of reading teaching with theillustrations, Then, to put forward several illustrations using advice about teachers how toprepare and use illustrations.The fourth part, take the French writer Alphonse Daudet’s novel "the last lesson" for example,to discuss the practical application of illustration in Chinese reading teaching.The last part is epilogue, reflection papers deficiency. In theory, there are some deficiencies and in practice lack of classroom teaching experience, the actual operational ofteaching case needs further validation.
