| Setting a teaching objective is the first step of class teaching design. A teachingobjective is the requirement and standard that teachers need to reach for their teachingtask. Simultaneously, it can play a role in guiding the practical activity of teachers’ classteaching. SOLO classification theory is a theory of cognitive development. It describesthe cognitive development in two methods: the way of thinking and the reaction level.SOLO classification theory model can not only reflect the qualitative differences of thestudents’ cognition but also reflect the differences in the amount. It can describe theperformance of a learner systematically when they are faced with different learning tasks, thus providing a strong theoretical framework for our teaching evaluation and thedetermination of course objectives. With the guidance of SOLO classification theory andconsidering the levels of students’ thinking structure, the design of teaching objectives isoptimized in our work.Based on the research on the classification theory of both teaching objectives andSOLO, investigations are conducted on the current situation of the design of teachingobjectives in high school physics by questionnaire. We mainly analyze the designconcept of teachers’ teaching objectives, the representation of teaching objectives, theapplication of the classification theory of teaching objectives, the implementation statusof teaching objectives and the attention on students’ thinking structure. On these bases, aSOLO classification theory is constructed to design a theory system for designing highschool physics teaching objectives and this theory system is used to design the teaching objectives for a unit and a class case. This classification theory has good referencesignificance for guiding and optimizing the design of teaching objectives in high schoolphysics. |
