With the implement the new basic education curriculum reform, various aspects in the field of education have changed significantly. Methods a new round of reform advocates the new teaching and learning methods and evaluation in the process of teaching, teachers pay more attention to play the leading role to inspire and cultivate the subjectivity of students. SOLO classification theory is a theory of cognitive development, and it can reflect the performance of learners with different learning tasks. According to every kind of representation, the reaction of the individual consistently show the structure complexity of recurring level, on the basis of qualitative evaluation on students’ learning process.SOLO classification theory was used in the design of teaching process on the basis of the development of thinking, learning results to monitor learners, to guide the teaching design, according to the results of learning, to monitor the thinking process of students, research from the perspective of students’ learning style SOLO classification theory for promoting students gradually to deep study the development of the positive role. This paper mainly consists of five parts, the first part mainly introduced the method and significance of this study. The second part introduced the SOLO classification theory origin and research on the way of learning. The third part, the SOLO classification theory was used in the teaching goals, learning tasks and the teaching method of amount of substance. The fourth part was to use the learning process questionnaire(LPQ) for the students’ learning motivation and learning strategies, the use of SPSS statistical software to analyze data and come to the conclusion. The fifth section summarized SOLO classification theory for teachers’ teaching and students’ learning effect, at the same time, in the reflection of defects in the course of practice.The results showed that: from the surface by learning motivation, learning strategies surface, deep learning motivation, deep learning strategies, learning achievement motivation and achievement-based learning strategies to detect changes in six areas of student learning, according to the students before and after the detection deep changes in learning methods, described SOLO classification theory for the way students learn has a role in promoting transition from shallow to deep.
