As a new kind of network communication technology, weibo to colleges anduniversities ideological and political education work has brought new opportunitiesand challenges. Domestic academic circles is microblog features and opportunity andchallenge for ideological and political education, ideological and political educationapplication a lot of research on countermeasures of weibo. But these basic research atits infancy, lacking systemic and practical relevance. In this paper, using weibo as anobject to carry out the collegue students’ ideological and political education. Andintegrated use of literature, empirical investigation and mathematical statistics, usingweibo to carry out the ideological and political education at institutions of higherlearning in our country the basic present situation investigation and analysis, clearweibo in the function in the oriental of the ideological and political education incolleges and universities, practical problems, and cognitive biases, the purpose is touse weibo, innovation and development for colleges and universities ideological andpolitical education to provide operational plan.Through actual investigation and literature research, we found that while theideological and political education in colleges and universities are paying more andmore attention to weibo, and weibo are established mechanism and platform ofideological and political education work, but there are still problems of cannot beignored: one is the development of weibo is understanding deviation, idea lag, theattitude of weibo is passive; Secondly, colleges and universities microblogsmismanagement, platform planning, weibo management system is relativelybackward; Three is the weibo lack of daily operation and maintenance, informationcontent lag, single release mode; Four is a one-way communication, the lack ofinteraction; In five is the insufficient linkage, information release, service provide andemergency response of colleges and universities microblogs has yet to form resultantforce; Six is the small number directly to the audience to weibo, service groupcoverage is relatively narrow, limited impact.To solve above problems, the ideological and political education of universitiesshould make full use of the opportunities brought by weibo, response to its challenges,and improve the ideological and political education work real results from fouraspects: one is to update the idea, the education main body establishment, of the microobject and improve the education of media literacy; Two is to optimize method, universities should increase the micro-blog interactive, imperfect management to\"weibo\", regularly open\"salon\", realize the microblogging platform and the benigninteraction between teachers and students; Three is to rich content, the use of weibo inmoral education, patriotism education and ideological and theoretical education; Fouris to improve the security, the ideological and political education to build themicroblogging application of incentive mechanism, to strengthen the management ofweibo and technical guarantees, strengthen college use weibo to carry out the teamconstruction of ideological and political education.
