As an important worldwide communication tool and a significant part inthe college entrance examination, English is becoming more and moreimportant. However, almost all the rural senior school English teachers haveto face the fact that most students have no interest in learning English andthey have achieved disappointing results in English, although the Englishteachers devote a lot of time and energy to English teaching. This studyidentified rural senior school students as the research object. It analyzes thesurvey results of the rural senior school students’ motivation for Englishstudy through questionnaires on the case of332students from ZhungeerNo.1Middle School. Based on some situations of the students’ motivation,the author designs some experimental programs to analyze the relationshipbetween English learning motivation and English learning achievements.The result shows the level of rural senior students’ motivation is low andthere is a clear positive correlation between the rural senior school students’English learning motivation and learning achievements. Through theresearch, the importance of raising students’ English learning motivation ishighlighted. The author hopes that the research will help stimulate students’English learning motivation and improve students’ achievements.
