The school logo of a university, which is considered as the concentration of its self-image,running principles and main features, reflected the spirits, history and culture of this university.Because of the unique character and function, school logo of a university plays a highlyimportant roles in the construction of its campus culture. Since the birth of university inmedieval time, school logo has changed with the development of the university, and finallyformed its own cultural temperament and spirit. From the late19th century to the beginning ofthe20th century, the real modern school logo began to take shape with the introduction andgrowth of the real modern university as the national crisis of China deepens. The modernChinese school logo was firstly borrowed from the western university, then developed andintegrated with each other. As the spread of campus spirit of western university and influence oftraditional Chinese culture, Chinese school logo compromised the merits of Chinese andWestern styles, and this had far-reaching implications to the developments and overall style ofChines school logo.This article is based on the conception, characteristics and function of university schoollogo.
