Exercise is the most important part of the textbook, which is essential for theevaluation of the textbook design, besides the knowledge presentation and the inspiring ofstudents’ interesting. The learning effect is directly impacted by the quality of the exercisessetting.There is always a discounting or ignoring in the training activity for the utility ofthe exercises in the textbook for a long time. Some teachers only picked up limited one ortwo and some even ignore all of them. There are many reasons caused such situation, likethe tough schedule in the training or training goals setting, while the exercise setting in thetextbook itself can not catch up with the modern society changing is really a big problem.Although some progress has been made in recent years with the education reforming, it’sstill a huge room to improve.From the comparison and analysis of the Physical curriculum standards in seniorschool(People’s Republic of China Ministry of Education to develop) of China, the CourseProfile (Grade11University Preparation SPH3U) of Canada, and the comparison of thetextbook for senior high school in China(the basic standard experimental textbook, Physicscompulsory course1compulsory course2,people education press,2010version)andCanada(Physics11,printed by McGraw Hill Ryerson company,2001version) one solutionhas been reached. With learning the advanced experiences of western developed country inthe exercises setting and choosing for the Physical training and deep understanding for theutility of exercises to enhance the understanding of new curriculum reform, reduce theoverload of senior students and inspire the students to learning and practice the knowledge,which is the starting point and motivation of this project. From analyzing the characteristics of the exercise design of Physics textbook forsenior high school between our country and other countries, learning from the successexperience about the Physics textbook compilation for senior high school, and combiningwith the current condition in our country, this article makes the constructive suggestion onthe reform and development of the textbook in our country,and provides the basis for theimplementing of the new course standard of senior high school Physics and the furtherexercises editing.
