With the development and popularization of modern teaching methods,computer-aided instruction (CAI) has become the hot spot of the current classroomteaching. It overcomes the shortcomings of the traditional teaching aids and has becomean important way to optimize teaching. In the class teaching of university publicPhysical education, CAI compensates for the limitations of textbook illustrations andcaptions, and teachers’ explanation and demonstration, simplify complex actions andconcretize indecomposable actions as well. CAI will not only help students understandand master the knowledge and development of intellectual, but also enables teachers tobetter grasp the information and to gain good teaching effects. The degree ofrecognition and application effects of CAI applied to University public Physicaleducation were investigated in this study. As a case study, the public physical educationof Soochow university was employed as the research object. Questionnaire survey andfiled visit were conducted among90students and49teachers. To know the applicationeffects and the teachers’ and students’ recognition to CAI, document research, Delphitechnique, mathematical statistics, logical analysis and rating scale method were used.The results shows that (1)Soochow University for the use of public sports facilitieswere not ideal CAI;(2) teacher’s recognition is just generally, Mainly because theequipments of school computer and networking are not complete and teachers’ computerlevel is not high as well as the lack of teaching courseware. But most of students showapproval attitude to the form of CAI, the contents of the CAI. Analysis results show thatmain reason is that the CAI can attract the attention of students, stimulate students’interest in learning and can get rid of the boring traditional teaching mode.(3) Theapplication is not neat,Showing a partial and fragmented state;(4) Ability to beimproved.Part of the teachers and students that the use of computer-aided Physical Education received good results performance saves time teacher writing on theblackboard, to reduce the Workload on teachers; improve students interest in sports,sports performance improvement, mastery of the knowledge and skills. they arediscussed in detail in this study, which will put forward rationalization proposal for CAIwidely and effectively used in public physical education and offer a great referencesignificance.
