In this study, we chose junior high school students as sample, using the Implicit Association Test, Achievement Motivation Scale to explore the relationship between implicit and explicit achievement motivation and academic achievement, and further explored the mediating effect of academic emotions in achievement motivation and academic achievement. The paper consists of a pre-test and two empirical studies. The pre-test used the extrinsic affective Simon task and Inquisit software to establish the achievement motivation test, the pre-testing serviced for future research. The pre-test determined the property words and concept words of the implicit achievement motivation test. On this basis, in order to explore the mediating effect of academic emotions in achievement motivation and academic achievement, the first study make a distinction between the implicit and explicit achievement motivation. Using cluster random sampling method, we selected160sophomore students from the the eightieth junior high school of Zhengzhou as participates. They were randomly divided into two groups, the two groups have to do a Implicit Achievement Motivation Test, the Achievement Motivation Scale and a d2test of attention. In the d2test of attention, one group can receive test score feedback while the other group had no results feedback. Finally, we made a regression analysis between the two achievement motivation and d2test of attention. The second study discussed the mediating effect of academic emotion between achievement motivation and academic achievement, we used the cluster random sampling method to choose participants for this research, the participants are100students from the sixty-eighth Middle School of Zhengzhou. They were administrated to do the implicit and explicit achievement motivation test and adolescent academic emotions questionnaire. The results are:(1) The implicit achievement motivation test has good validity, it can be used to test implicit achievement motivation.(2) Implicit and explicit achievement motivation are two different motivation system.(3) Implicit motivation can positively predict academic achievement, while explicit achievement motivation has no significant association with academic achievement.(4) In the academic emotions, nine emotions have significant mediating effect between implicit motivation and academic achievement, but no mediating effect are found between explicit achievement motivation and academic achievement.
