With the informationization of social life and economic globalization, English has become the most widely used languages in the world. English is the compulsory courses in our country’s elementary education. To conform to the trend of the times, English course has been established in remote rural ethnic minority primary school. It is better for the implementation of English course in remote rural ethnic minority primary school to discuss the adaptation of English course. Based on this, this study took Mojiang Hani Autonomous County of Yunnan Province for example, focused on the English teachers and students’situation of adaptability, and the school environment systems.Through the survey, we know that there are so many problems in inadaptation of primary English teaching in rural ethnic areas. Firstly, teachers do not adapt to the new English curriculum. They are more acceptable to the teaching ideas of new curriculum, for example, the evaluation form and teaching roles, but less to the new teaching methods, new teaching books and the goal and content of English courses. Secondly, students do not adapt to the new English curriculum. They are interesting in learning English and want to learn English well. But not adapt to the new studying ways, the diversity of homework and the English teaching material, students are poor at independence, question, cooperation and exploration. Thirdly, the school condition system goes against the English teaching. Such as lack of English teachers, low degree and unprofessional of English teachers; English courses are not enough, the starting grade of English courses is unification; shortage of curriculum resources.From the problems of primary school English Curriculum which exist in the rural ethnic areas, the reasons causing these problems are shortage of teachers, lack of training, less education, unprofessional, and the lag of teachers’ teaching evaluation method; the ethnic students’ interest and enthusiasm for learning English is declining, poor learning foundation; the English studying is particular and complicate, the content of teaching material is away from rural ethnic students’ real life; people don’t pay more attention to the English curriculum, shortage of English teaching equipments.Based on the English teachers and students’ situation of adaptability, and the school environment systems. This article analyses the reasons causing their adaptability to the new English curriculum in ethnic primary school, for promoting their adaptability to the new English curriculum, the society must pay more attention to supporting the establishment of English curriculum; the school must improve the English teachers’ all-round development; the editor of the English curriculum must reduce the aim and rewrite the English teaching material for the rural ethnic primary school.
