Literature education is a popular topic in Chinese language education,and literatureeducation content is the reflection of literature education purpose and status,whichalso influences the development of literature education methods.So,how to grasp theliterature education content has become the priority of literature educationresearch.Taking history as a mirror can inspire us to make the right choice,so we needto take an analysis and make a summary of this problem from the historicalperspective.This paper,starting from the relevant concepts of literature and literatureeducation,has taken an analysis of more than100years’ history of literature educationcontent;and has made an in-depth summary and reflection for the evolution,updateand regularity of literature education content,combined with the theory on history.The first part: This paper has defined the relevant concepts of literature,literatureeducation and literature education content;and has carried on the investigation of thecurrent research situation and has put forward the research approach,based on thesituation. The literature from narrow sense refers to the language behaviors and workswith the aesthetic properties.The literature education refers to the integrativeeducation,taking the appreciation of literature works as the main method,combinedwith the aesthetic,cultural and language education.Literature education content shouldinclude three parts: literature curriculum content,literature teaching content andliterature teaching material content.The second part:The overview of evolution of modern primary and secondaryschool literature education. This part is mainly about making a macroscopicinvestigation for the evolution of modern primary and secondary school literatureeducation,including the literature view evolution,literature education viewevolution,etc. The literature view evolution is mainly involved in the literatureessence and the value view’s one hundred years of development.The literatureeducation view evolution has stated from the three aspects of literature educationpurpose,status and method.The third part: This paper has focused on the evolution and update of primary andsecondary school literature education content of more than100years. For the past onehundred years,the literature education content has changed from existing in name onlyat the beginning of the subject establishment to presenting the appreciation of artworks into the Chinese language subject;from the literature education content towardspolitical revolution at wartime to literature education becoming gradually rigidinfluenced by the Soviet Union in the early years of New China;from the subjectbranch,literature education system’s preliminary establishment to literature educationabsence when the tool theory was prevailing;from the literature education revivalunder the humanistic revival in the1990s to paying great attention to literatureeducation under the background of new curriculum.The literature education contenthas experienced a tortuous course of development.The paper,which is divided intothree periods, combined with the social background of the time,has taken a detailedanalysis of the development and evolution of literature education content.The fourth part:The analysis of modern primary and secondary school literature education regularity. This part is mainly about the reflections from the perspective ofinner literature education and social political culture;and the proposals for literatureeducation discipline establishment. The literature education content’s centenarydevelopment can at least let us have two clear points: first,the literature educationpurpose plays a decisive role in choosing literature education content,which willdirectly affected by teachers in actual teaching process.So,to improve the currentsituation of literature education content,we must take action from the two aspects.Atthe same time,we should pay attention to choosing the materials of literatureeducation content.Second,the literature education content selection is actually thereflection of political and cultural thought trend in literature education demand,whichrequires us when choosing literature education content,we should combine with thethought trend of the times and emphasize the principles of moderation.After the rise and fall of the literature education content,it has grasped a newdevelopment opportunity,but there are also many problems.We should change theliterature education theory,which is not in accordance with the practice.In theorylearning,we should strengthen the subject establishment of literature education,whichcan make the literature education content selection more scientific.In practice,it canmake the literature education content has more feasibility and operability.
