Nowadays, the tide of postmodernism nearly covered and influenced many subjects including literature, education fields and masscult, which provides a new culture and education background for our literature education. So, it is necessary for us to think and study our literature from new views.This research attempts to think and study literature from ontology to methodology in senior highs school by the relation between the contents, targets and ways of the literature education and life.As we all known, literature education necessarily depends on literature canon to come true. To begin with, the thesis analyzes the current different understanding of literature canon. Then, the problem that literature and politicize are ignored in literature classical teaching target is pointed out. That is to say, literature education should be carried out around human nature and life. Meanwhile, the terminal values of man and aesthetic value are education targets instead of politicize and ethical value.For materials selected in the textbook, the author criticized moralizing in the literature materials and pointed literature materials which are selected in the textbook should be correspond with aesthetic value and ethical value, and met the appeal of life ideals. In addition, post-modernism masscult, all times and in all lands balances and harmonious both refined and popular tastes are considered, especially, interesting is an important factor for selecting literature materials.Chapter Four, which is a key part in this paper, discussed literature teaching, are carried out according to the post-modernism education theory. Literature has the character of conversation, because conversation not only is literature teaching basic manner, but also literature education targets. In the conversation teaching, equal multielements have to be respected, furthermore, it is important to tolerate and value the difference of students'understanding.Education has to return to students'life. The last chapter presented there is a close relation between the literature education and students'thought including life value, aesthetic standard and culture. Developing positive life, right values and tastes and arousing tolerant culture views is regarded as the duty of literature education and the demand of reality.In short, it is a complex process to carry out literature education in post-modernism language environment. It not only surpasses the past, but also envisages reality. So, it is a long and formidable course in the long term.
