Research On The Influence Of Family Education On College Student’s Values

College students’ values has played an important role in their socialization process.Itdetermines their direction and attitude towards life,guides and regulates their behavior,and contributes to the development of harmonious society.So,for a long time,theeducation of college student’s values occupies an important position in ideological andpolitical education.However,compared with the systematic school education,homeeducation hasn’t get its deserving attention for long.As a matter of fact,home is animportant place in the shaping of college students values,whose impact is by all meanscomprehensive.Therefore,the author of the artice chooses the impact of home educationon college students values as the research object, probes into the influence of homeeducation on college students’ political values, moral values, learning values,employment values and marriage values,and put forward the way to improve homeeducation in the purpose of helping students to set up correct life values.The influence of home education on college students’ values mainly lies in thefollowing five aspects:First, family is the starting point of political values,and parentspolitical attitudes affect college students political beliefs.Second,home education is thefoundation of the college students’ moral values and their familys cultural environmentaffects their understanding level.Third,the home education mode affects their students’interest and method in learning,and home education restricts student’s professionalchoices and development goals.Forth,the influence on marriage values can be expoundedin two aspects:family atmosphere affects college students’ attitude towards love andparents’ traditional concept restricts students’ standard in choosing a spouse.Five, theinfluence on employment values can be also illustrated in two aspects:family member’sprofessional values guide college students’ empioyment oriention and the concept of afamily’s education affects college students’ career.In order to strengthen the positive influence of home education on college students’values, we can start by giving full play to the role of home education, choosing thescientific education mode,building a school-family joint education mechanism.All ofthese will make home educatiom a greater positive role in helping setting up the correctvalues of college students.
