| The difference and relevance of impression management strategy acceptance indifferent situations and interpersonal relationships are mainly purpose of thisresearch. At the same time, we discuss the relevance of the perception andacceptance of impression type,self-monitoring, interpersonal problems and socialsupport in youthful students.This research includes five parts. Part one is about the fundamental and relevantstate of impression management strategy acceptance, part two is about thedifference of impression management strategy acceptance in different situations,part three is about the difference of impression management strategy acceptance indifferent relationship strength, part four is about the fundamental state anddifference of impression type evaluation and acceptance, part five is about therelevance of self-monitoring, interpersonal problems and social supports.Part one,part two and part three are the main part of the whole research and adopt the paperand pencil scene simulation experiment, the independent variables are the nature ofthe thing (include beneficial level and adverse level) and the reaction of the partner(include appraise level and criticism level) which can be combined to2*2between-group experimental treatments (beneficial and appraise situation,beneficial and criticism situation, adverse and criticism situation, beneficial andappraise situation), the relation strength (include intimate friend, general friend andstranger) is also involved as a with-group factor. Part four is about a survey ofimpression type perception and acceptance to investigate the relevance ofperceptions and acceptance of subjects character, ability and appearance in differentrelationships. Part five is about the relevance between self-monitoring, interpersonalproblems, social support and the impression management strategy acceptance, theperception and acceptance of impressive type.The conclusion of this research:First, youthful students have acceptance difference of assertive and defensiveimpression management strategy in four situations. The acceptance distribution is different between assertive and defensive impression management. Genderdifference is found in four situations.Second, youthful students have acceptance difference of different impressionmanagement strategies. The experimental treatment can be combined to conflict orpeaceful situation, beneficial and adverse situation. The nature of things is moreimportant than the reaction of the partner.Third, youthful students have acceptance difference of impression managementstrategy in three interpersonal relationships. The different number is ranked from bigto small as followed, the adversity and criticism situation, the adverse and pricesituation, the beneficial and critical situation, the beneficial and price situation.Four, youthful students have the perception and acceptance difference ofimpression types in three interpersonal relationships. The youthful students mostlyaccept the comment of intimate friends, then general friends and less accept thestrangers comment.Five, the youthful students acceptance of impression management strategy, theperception and acceptance of impression type are related to their levels ofself-monitoring, interpersonal problems and social support.This research mainly adopts the paper and pencil simulation to make fourexperimental treatments and involves three interpersonal relationship strengths totest the impression management strategy acceptance of youthful students. Thisresearch offer reference to youthful students when they face the real situation, andthe relevance among the acceptance of impression management strategy, theperception and acceptance of impression type, the self-monitoring, interpersonalproblems and social support is discussed. This research owns strong utility and canoffer thought and reference to the related will research in the future. |
