Research On Impression Management Of E-sports Commentators From The Perspective Of Drama Theory

"Nationwide e-sports" have arrived because of the endless emergence of leagues and the expansion of the game market,the continuous attention of the state and the training of e-sports players and e-sports commentary.E-sports is on behalf of the service and satisfy the modern people,especially young people lifestyle and culture consumption,which gave special memories and empathy for the younger generation.The emergence of esports has also created a group of e-sports commentators,who may have a superior understanding of the game and game talent,or good at quoting scripture and rendering the game’s furious pace.They may also have high level of education.As interpreters of the new sports industry represented by young generation,they have different understanding and expression ways from traditional sports in interpretation rhythm and language.Apart from professionalism and technical knowledge,they are constantly searching for their own style and maintaining their personal impression on the audience.This paper,combined with my graduation work ——“Different field different E-sport commentators”,will start from Owen Goffman’s "Impression Management",taking the industry practice experience as the guide,deeply digging the correlation between E-sports interpretation and impression management,the correlation of elements It will find out the form of E-sports interpretation impression management and exploring the impression management strategy from impression initiation to formation to reinforcement and maintenance.It is hoped that the summary of this paper can provide impression management means for E-sports commentary hosts,so as to serve the event better and create more entertainment value.The shaping of personal impression of esports commentator is not only for shaping personal image,but also for performance effect,making correct value guidance and improving the quality and style of event broadcast products.
