Law-related education programme has continued since1980s,but the main contentof the programme’s textbook are legal duty,and student is required to learn the lawclause by heart and observe the law in daily life,and constitution knowlage is only asmall part of the whole programme,also no rule of law spirits education.Food and clothing is not a problem for the Chinese,now the people areexperiencing civil rights age,and our Chinese middle school and high scholl shouldteach civics to student,actively teach civil rights,government powers, democracy andnation by rule of law knowlage. Also we shall develop constitution belief in studentmind,and teach them to use constitution as a weapon in guarding human freedom andprivate property.This paper discussed law-related education and civics concept in middle schooland high school and analyse the exisiting problems in the school civics programme. Theauthor states that civil rights,government power,democracy and nation by rule of law aremain content in civics.The paper also compared civics content of US and China school,in governmentpower,democracy,civil rights and central,local government function etc. finally in thepaper the author proposed to put constitution knowlage in civics for all Chinese schoolcivics textbook,and also the civics knowlage should be examined in entrancesexams,constitution papers and articles should be entered in language and historytextbook,and election etc constitutional activity should be used in civics teaching...
