The success or failure of the new curriculum reform process, suggesting that teachers playa key role. Pedagogical content knowledge(PCK) plays a central role.in teachers’professionaldevelopment.Mainly through combing the literatures about the connotation and development of pedago-ogical content knowledge between the home and abroad, and on the basic of primary Chineseteachers’PCK studies in China,this study analysis and summaries the content,characteristics anddevelopment forms of the primary school Chinese teachers’PCK under the new curriculum reformprocess. And then,utilize three ways:questionnaires, classroom observation,teacher interviews,investigate and analysis and contrast urban and rural primary school Chinese teachers’PCK,andsupport some effective suggestions.This study is divided into five parts:The first part is the introduction, which mainly illustrate the study purpose, research designideas and research methods.The second part is the overview of the primary school Chinese teachers’ PCK,which mainlyanalysis and comb the PCK’s development (content and sources)at home and abroad and primaryChinese teachers’PCK development in our county, according to which, define therelevant definition,main content and the ways of this study.The third part is about the survey and analysis of the primary school Chinese teachers’ PCKdevelopment between the urban and rural. According to three means:questionnaire, classroomobservation and interviews, this part mainly analysis and contract the development between urbanand rural primary school Chinese teachers’ PCK.The fourth part is about the conclusions and recommendations of improving primary schoolChinese teachers’ PCK development. Basiced on the urban and rural primary Chineseteachers’PCK development, this chapter supports some precautions and recommendations.The Part V is Conclusion, which is about summary and outlook about this study.
