The Research And Implement Of Integrated Access Device Based On Softswitch

Nowadays, the PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) is being changed into NGN (Next Generation Network), and will coexist with NGN for a period of time. IAD (Integrated Access Device) will be widely used in the future because of its ability to bring the traditional services such as voice, data and fax into NGN network.The IAD (Integrated Access Device) based on SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) has been researched in the thesis. The design project and the realization of some key software components were given.This thesis introduced the working environment of IAD and the related technologies such as SS (Soft Switch) in the first part, and then analyzed the critical technologies about the design of IAD systematically, including signaling technology、media processing technology and NAT traversal technology. The design of hardware system was depicted based on the request of IAD function, and the choice of primary chip was given. The software system was designed in blocking. The design makes the IAD used easily and the IAD software system can be designed for more function in the future easily. Introduced the developing platform for software such as RTOS (Real Time Operation System) VxWorks in detail before the giving the realization of key software components.Test results indicated that the performance index IAD meet the requirement of using in general condition.In the final of this thesis, the author summarized the work done in the thesis, and made some suggestions for the future work.
