| With the rapid development of modern communications technology, the methods and range of obtaining information continue to expand. It forces improving the full development of communications technology. New generation of internet is based on the modern communication networks and integrated the latest communication and computer technologies, such that connects all various networks together to form a very huge and complicated network topology that has the best sharing of the global information and resources. Due to the tremendous changes of new technologies and the great demands by users, the expansion of the network scalability will be carried on continuously. The transmission performance of point-to-point in the network must be greatly improved, at least up to 100Mbps or more. This information network, which represents highly dynamic, large-capacity switching capability, strong real-time, will be able to meet future communications and data processing requirements. So the traditional Fast or Gigabit network interface and the corresponding switch forwarding technology will become a bottleneck. People need more high-speed transmission media and network interface, which is the subject’s requirement.According to the demands, this paper aims to complete a high-speed switching system based on the PCI-E bus and 2.5G optical interface for data transmission and exchange. It analyzes PCI-E data exchange features, and puts forward a distributed access architecture based on PCI-E bus. In the architecture, there is a FPGA forwarding engine to help high-speed data exchange. At the same time, paper analyzes the look-up table techniques, and improves the serial look-up table method for the parallel pipeline, then optimizes the hardware structure of the table. With the deep research on fast forwarding technology, this paper implements the switch system based on four factors:IEEE 802.3 Protocol as information earner, Xilinx ML507 as platform-PCIE transmission architecture and parallel and pipeline LUT technology. Finally. the data switch rate is more than 1.7Gbps through the testing, and it shows that the research on this paper can provide high-speed access, high-speed switching, reliability communications solutions for the network. |
