This paper is mainly to reservoir library readers as the research object, in-depth analysis the needs of library activities for the reservoir area readers to present a promotion strategy for reservoir library.Firstly, the paper analyzed the background of this research, which is based on the current backward situation:the lower rate of coming reader, utilization and card holder of the reservoir library.Secondly, through literature investigation and case analysis, summarized shanghai library, Shenzhen library and the capital library’s promotion strategy, and analyse the present situation of the reservoir library, due to the reservoir library promotion’s defects to present a research hypothesis, and take a questionnaire survey.Then, In the fourth chapter for the questionnaire statistics and analysis, the conclusions come out:①different background readers select different activity theme;②different background resettlement readers have different interest in different activity form;③different background resettlement reader has different way for information acquisition.The fifth chapter contrast analysis the fourth chapter’s conclusion and the third chapter’ summary, analyse the different, and explain the reason of these differences, Including economic factors, the leadership of the degree of attention, the public library leadership decision-making and awareness of library staff. Finally present a promotion strategy for reservoir library, for which including key account and different backgrounds readership.
