The UHF RFID is known as the technology with the highest potential in thedomain of intelligent identification. It is very important to research and grasp the coretechnology of the UHF RFID. In this dissertation the research aimed some part of theUHF RFID technology is presented in order to give some novel concepts for the tagantenna designing.In this paper, we firstly introduce the history and evolution of the RFID technologyas well as the value and theoretical significance. Based on the theory of antenna twosttypical UHF RFID tag antenna are introduced as well as the important significance ofthe Radar Cross Section. According to a example the mechanism of the Ansoft HFSSis presented.According to the standard of Impinj Monza4tag chip two tag antennas with novelstructure are designed to improve the RCS of tag antenna as well as another tag antennabased on papery substrate. The effectiveness of novel structure is proved by comparingthe result between the traditional structure and the novel one.
