With the rapid development of modem science and technology and theimprovement of living standard,people put forward a higher request on domesticsecurity.As the characteristics of convenient,intuitive and rich of the informationcontent,the video monitoring system is widely applied to various kinds of securitysystems.However,the existing video monitoring systems are mostly with high cost,complex installation and use, and they cann’t be adapted to ordinary users. Therefore,it is of great significance and value in use to research and development a homesecurity video monitoring system for meeting the requirements of ordinary people.According to the requirements of general users about home security product, andcombined with the development trend and application situation of domestic andinternational home security and video surveillance, using embedded technology,image processing technology, wireless network communication technology, Radiotechnology, infrared induction technology, this paper designs and completes a homesecurity video monitoring system based on the STM32F103RC and M33module(integrates image processing and GSM/GPRS communication functions). The systemis on the base of STM32F103RC and the M33module, STM32F103RC detectswhether there is the abnormal situation in the home environment through receiving thesignal of home environmental monitoring probe, such as wireless combustible gasprobe、wireless door magnetism probe, and acquising PIR senor induction signal. Ifdetects intrusion, the microcontroller sends related AT commands to control the M33module to take photos, send MMS and email; If detects other abnormalities, such ascombustible gas disclosure、fire, the microcontroller sends related AT commands tocontrol the M33module to send SMS. Users can get much information aboutmonitoring area timely through mobile phone or computers, at the same time, userscan send SMS command to monitor home environment actively.This paper first introduces the research background, significance and the sourcesof the project, and elaborates the development process of video surveillance system;After analysing the advantages and disadvantages of the existing embedded videosurveillance technology scheme and the need of people about home security products,it presents the technical scheme and system design plan; Then describes the hardwareand software design and test in detail, the hardware design mainly includes315MHzwireless receiving module circuit, PIR induction signal processing circuit, imagesensor interface circuit. The software design includes the Bootloader program andapplication program, the application software design mainly includes MMS alarm、SMS alarm、response SMS command. Finally summarizes the research work, and points out the direction of further research and improvement. Test results show thatthe system has the characteristics of good reliability, high intelligence, low cost,friendly interface, easy installation, meeting people’s requirements about homesecurity products.
