Design And Implementation Of Text Input Method Software For Featrue Phone

With the popularity of computers, text input which determines the information degree of the society has become the most important interaction form of human and computers. Chinese input technology has been a hot spot in the natural language processing. But mobile phone input method is called one of the "four arms"(mobile phone operating system, mobile browser, mobile phone input method, the search engine) in the3G era, and one of the three entrances (mobile phone input method, mobile browser, mobile IM) in mobile Internet field, it has a strategic position. Excellent mobile phone input method software not only gives users a good experience, but also contains a huge opportunity. With the business model of mobile phone input method from dependence on payment of royalties and license fees in the traditional business model to relying on the mobile Internet operation mode, the field of mobile phone input method has changed from a relatively closed, monopoly industry to an open, competitive platform. With the beginning of the mobile Internet, the major Internet companies vying for this market, but before maturity of the mobile Internet services of mobile phones, the top priority is to seize the mobile Internet portal.With the introduction of the MTK MT6252chip, mobile phone which has a RAM space of four megabytes, and a ROM space of4megabytes, have occupied a large part of the market, major mobile solution company have opened the MTK MT6252project. In order to meet the needs of the users, my company decided the second development for the original input method, and redesigned the data structures and search algorithms. The main work of this paper and the results obtained are as follows:1. Researched development history and present status for the input software, and understood the characteristics of the current market’s leading mobile phone input method software.2. Combined with the MTK platform characteristics and the needs of users, analyzed and developed the detailed requirements for the input method software.3. According to the characteristics of the Chinese phonetic, designed the word thesaurus data files.4. Design search algorithms for the input method.5. According to the MTK platform features, designed a reasonable framework and achieved the input method.6. According to the characteristics of the data structure, software architecture and the search algorithm, proposed the improvement and perfection solutions for the next phase.Through the investigation of the characteristics of the current mainstream mobile Pinyin input method, combined with the original product technology and a detailed analysis of system requirements, the paper designed reasonable data structures and word search algorithms which based on the data structures, finally achieved the Pinyin input method software which has a three-tier system architecture which composed of UI layer, Shell layer and Kernel layer based on MFC.
