With the development of the digital signal processor and the video processing technology,video surveillance system has been widely used in the transportation, education and otherfields. In the process of application, video surveillance system is limited by function andintegration. Therefore, universal surveillance system usually can’t meet demand. Based on therequirements of the UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) video surveillance system, the hardwareplatform design of embedded video processing system is studied and implemented in thispaper. TI’s Davinci dual-core processor TMS320DM6446is selected as the core chip.In this article, the development and current situation of the video surveillance system andprocessing chip are described. Then the hardware design of the video processing system basedon TMS320DM6446is discussed, including the system functional requirements analysis, chipselection, and overall program design. On this basis, each module of the system is designed indetail. In addition, the circuit diagram is drawn in Altium Designer6.9software.This paper studies the theoretical knowledge of high-speed PCB design, such as analysis ofthe PCB transmission line, reflection, crosstalk, etc. At the same time, the designs of stack,placement and routing are designed in detail.A lot of simulation works of the PCB board have been done in the paper. The system issimulated in LineSim simulation tool, and then the constraint rules use to develop a layout strategy. Afterthe PCB design is completed, the system is simulated in BoardSim simulation software. Finally, the PCBdesign is proved the relevant requirement of signal integrity is reasonable.This research work has played an important role in the completion of wireless videocapture and transmission equipment. And the research also has a certain reference value forother embedded video monitoring systems.
