At present, medical treatment is difficult and expensive, and the uneven dist ribution of medical resources make up of China’s most important medical statu s. Advanced medical technology and medical equipment, skilled medical experts te nd to be concentrated in a small number of large and medium-sized cities, whil e many small towns and remote mountainous areas’medical standards is quite bac kward. Can share medical resources, implement telemedicine will not only fast an d economically solve current medical care problems, but also better and faster ac complish the national long-term health plan, which is the need of achieving Sci entific Outlook on Development, and universal medical goal.The SIP protocol draws on the successful experience of the Web, inherited all the advantages of the HTTP protocol. As a multimedia communication control si gnaling protocol, SIP protocol combines all the features of it, and through a vari ety of gateways and networks, providing a more seamless communications networ k. Therefore, the SIP is ideal for the development of telemedicine, distance educati on, remote monitoring, and enterprise network.This topic is based on the medical status of China, after in-depth study of the SIP protocol, proposed to build SIP-based telemedicine system. The main researc h work of this topic is as follows:(1) The paper first proposed the research background and significance, an d then introduced the status of telemedicine systems and SIP. In the SIP protocol, we introducing the features and functionality of SIP and SIP entities, SIP messa ges and SIP session and then described and analyzed the SIP protocol stack and a briefly introduction of SIP extension.(2) Design and Implementation of SIP. Mainly analyze the structure of the SI P protocol, SIP protocol implementation process, to grasp the basic parsing and e ncoding, design and testing of the SIP process. And study the contents of the SIP se ssion management, transaction management and media parameter negotiation. (3) Analysis of the SIP protocol stack, detailed analysis and research oSIP, the open-source SIP stack, in-depth analysis oSIP protocol stack hierarchy and pro gramming methods, and use the functionality provided by the protocol stack interf ace to implement the video management module of telemedicine system.(4) Study telemedicine systems, grasp the key point to achieve it, and final ly design the model of SIP-based telemedicine systems. System use Asterisk as a S IP server, which is also the data center of the system. The powerful features and advantage of pure software solutions of Asterisk ensure the smooth running of the se rver. The terminal (user agent) of system use Linphone software, with its complete mechanism in the SIP protocol to achieve the establishment and termination of vi deo conferencing. In video transmission, the system uses a UDP-based RTP transpo rt, to ensure real-time video conferencing and systems interoperability.(5) Extend and improve the standard SIP protocol. According to the practical needs of a telemedicine system in the application, proposed a kind of Extensio n based on the standard SIP protocol extensions, and use the extension to implem ent monitoring and processing functions of the data center server in telemedici ne systems.
