With the development of the wireless technology, the wireless of the field-bus is used more and more widely in industry. In this thesis, the HART is analyzed, and WirelessHART is researched in detail. And then, the design schemes of monitoring system have been made, including the design of WirelessHART adapter, and the construction of a PC monitoring system.The main work in this thesis is as follows:1) The design of system framework and hardware. In this part, the framework of the monitoring system is designed, and the detailed design of hardware is completed. In the design of hardware, the modular design method is utilized to complete the function modules of the WirelessHART adapter. The WirelessHART adapter mainly includes four modules: power supply module, microcontroller module, WirelessHART modules and HART module.2) The design of data transmission protocol. The data transmission protocol is divided into three parts:the protocol of transmission between host computer and the gateway, the protocol of transmission between gateway and wireless module, the protocol of transmission between wireless module and adapter. The protocol of transmission between gateway and wireless module just uses the WirelessHART protocol, which simply follows the WirelessHART specification. In this work, the transmission protocol of between host computer and the gateway and the transmission protocol between wireless module and adapter are detailedly designed, and the message format of the data transmission is also given.3) The design of software, which includes the WirelessHART adapter software and PC software. First of all, the the requirement analysis of the WirelessHART adapter software and PC software is made. Secondly, the architecture of the WirelessHART adapter software and PC software are given, and the detailed design of the PC software module is also given. According to the design, test program and content of the monitoring system are showed in the software testing part, which shows that the WirelessHART adapter and monitor system design can achieve the expected goals.At last, the wireless network and industrial fieldbus development trends are prospected, and some advices about improving the monitoring system based on WirelessHART are given.
