| Applying the concepts and methods of knowledge management to the development andconstruction of the library is a hot spot in the field of library and information science recently.Being a representative sample of the application of knowledge management idea, collaborativedigital reference service is an appropriate point for the implementation of knowledge managementin the library. And there are still some serious problems that how to divide the rights andobligation of every allied library, how to plan the whole collect books and librarians as a whole,and how to safeguard the privacy rights of users. In order to solve these problems, this paperproposes some effective solutions from the prospective of knowledge management. Then, inallusion to the ivory-towered situation while applying the knowledge management theory to thecollaborative digital reference service, with knowledge chain as the core, a knowledgemanagement system of collaborative digital reference service was built. Finally, it points outseveral measures to enhance the level of knowledge management of collaborative digital referenceservice in China. The concrete research work of this paper is as follows:(1)The theory research achievements and the development status of collaborative digitalreference service both in home and abroad were introduced.(2)The application of some common technologies to knowledge management to collaborativedigital reference service was introduced, including knowledge base, knowledge transfer, andknowledge map, etc.(3)A knowledge management system of collaborative digital reference service was built. Byintroducing the theory of system engineering, the foundation of constructing, the definition of therole, the structure, the function of knowledge chain, the characteristic, and the advantages of thissystem were analyzed deeply.(4)This paper proposes five effective measures to improve the level of knowledgemanagement of collaborative digital reference system, which based on the framework of theknowledge management system of collaborative digital reference service.The knowledge management system of collaborative digital reference service that built inthis paper, combined the idea and methods of knowledge management with collaborative digital reference service, which aimed at supplying some effective solutions to solve the problems whichtalked above. There is no doubt that not only does this paper carry out the research on knowledgemanagement in the library in a deep-going way, but it also is a valid way to improve the level ofcollaborative digital reference service as well as to innovate a service method. |
