| With the rapid advance of State’s triple play in the past years, a wideband accesstechnology which is efficient, feasible and can meet user’s multiple service requirementis urgently needed. Due to its high access rate, support of different service’s QoS andgood compatibility with the original cable TV networks, the HINOC technologyproposed by our national technicians independently, is undergoing a rapid development. This dissertation describes the main mechanism of MAC protocol and the systemstructure of IXP435-based prototype platform, and introduces the HIPHY layer’sinterfaces. Also, under the Linux environment, we study the HINOC MAC(HIMAC)layer’s software, with the emphasis on design of drivers’ overall structure, and conductdetailed design and development of all the modules impacting the software’s operation, including system interface, initial procedure, and interrupt processing. And then, basedon this overall structure, we work out the detailed design and realization of several mainfunctional modules involving admission control, convergence sub-layer, etc. Finally, wecomplete the MAC layer’s overall structure and main modules’ testing and debuggingwith a well simulation results which shows both a basically correct software’s operationand an achieved design requirement. |
