In recent years, along with the fast development of China s highway construction, roaddisaster, such as collapse、rockfall、bridge fracture、GIT(groundwater inflow into tunnel)、subgrade settlement,etc. affect the levels of road safety greatly, brings thegeneral public greatadverse,and pose a serious threat to the life and property safety.The monitoring and early warning of road disaster is an effective measure to ease theloss. With GIS technology, especially the online electronic map technology s developmentand application, it provides important technical support to the map change display of the roaddisaster simage monitoring, real-time alarm. It also provides a new approach to themonitoring system.In this paper, the road disaster monitoring system based on Google Maps API improvesprevious highway video image acquisition system function. It not only inherit road real-timeimage collection function, but also pay more attention to road facilities S spatial distributionattribute of feature resources, such as the spatial the bridge, the tunnel, high slope, largelongitudinal slope. The GIS spatial data processing technology is introduced into the roaddisaster monitoring. This is not only a system of the actual demand, is also the trend of thetechnology development.The paper introduces the demand analysis of the system and the function structure indetail, and designs the system database in detail to manage the road disaster informationeffectively. At the same time, the paper builds development environment for the system. Itmakes use of ACE middleware technology and Google Maps API technology to implementthe network communication between system server and monitor state client, system Googlemap loading, and the road disaster early warning information dynamic marking on the map.
