The Realization Of GMCC Backbone Transmission Network Based On DWDM

In recent years, the demand of fast multimedia grew explosively. How to meet the needsof business traffic surge, establish and improve the high-capacity, high efficiency of backbonetransmission network, is a problem that must be addressed in a Guangdong Mobile.Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) technology can take full advantageof the huge fiber bandwidth resources, and greatly improve the system transmission capacity,reduce the cost of transmission, DWDM technology has been widely used in long distanceand large capacity transmission backbone network.This dissertation provides an overview of dense wavelength division multiplexingtechnology, including the background and advantages of DWDM technology, the principle ofWDM technology, the DWDM transmission medium, light source technology, multiplexing/demultiplexing, optical amplification technology, optical supervisory channel, the ForwardError Correction technology, Optical Transport Network technology. And the part "DWDMtransmission network design" introduces optical power problem, dispersion limited distance,optical signal-to-noise ratio, and nonlinear effects, providing basis for the indicatorscaculation of the transmission system. Then, this article will study in detail the application ofDWDM technology in Guangdong Mobile Backbone transmission network. Next, it willcombine the status of the backbone transmission network in Guangdong Mobile, analyze andpropose the optimization of this existing network, and ultimately complete the optimizatio nwork, in order to make Guangdong Mobile backbone transmission network more robust andmore secure.Both from theory and from practical applications, DWDM technology is very suitablefor the backbone transmission network of the telecom operators. DWDM technology makesfull use of the resources of the huge bandwidth of the optical fiber, and greatly improve thesystem transmission capacity, reduce the cost of transmission, it is well adapted to thedevelopment trend of the explosive growth of China’s demand for communications services.
