With the rapid development of information technology, the big data era has quietly come to us. Since image and video contain a large amount of information, how to timely and effectively obtain the information become key technology of image and video processing. Therefore people made a lot of research to eliminate the time and space redundancy in these fields, such as image, video processing, multi-channel video and consecutive image frames. There are high demands of effectiveness and real-time in video processing, especially for real-time video processing applications. Therefore, it has a great significance to build the multi-channel video image processing experimental platform.The experimental platform contains video image input, output, processing and storage. Input signal sources include VGA signal, IPTV, network data packet (frame) and satellite TV signal. The processing part includes LCD splicing screen, multi-channel information processing, the control of input source and display. The network part is responsible for the data exchange between media and control information,controls data access through external and internal network and can seamlessly access the cloud computing platform. The platform also designs and implements several other functions, such as synchronous display of remote multi-channel signal, selection and storage of signal sources and so on, and the number of signals can be intelligently controlled according to the processing capacity.The design of the remote multi-channel video components completed the processing and display of multi-channel information. Components adopt the RTSP/RTP protocol in order tocontrol and transmit video data in real-time and can obtain the real-time video stream from network camera.The buffer cache technology is usedto overcome the data transmission delay, and the problem of discontinuous display caused by heavy network workload is solved through the two-way circular linked list. According to the performance of CPU.the components can supply better performance of multiple window synchronous play of multi-channel signals, and realizethe H.264/AVC video decoding standard for parallel decoding of multimedia data. The information storage module realizesreal-time image and video storage.H.264code streamsare packed into flv files and stored.Fractional pixel interpolation in motion compensation process is optimized and realizes the fast sub-pixel interpolation algorithm:finally, according to the computing ability of CPU. intelligent control of route numberof signal sourcesis realized.Multi-channel video display module can be compatible with camera video stream of multiple formats, andthe systemhas already been put into use.
