An Empirical Study Of The Relationship Between The Listed Companies’ Intangible Assets, Fixed Assets Investment And Operating Performance In China

Industrial economy need enterprises to spend a lot of fixed assets, and it plays animportant role for enterprises management, but the knowledge economy takes intellectualachievements as the characteristic, intangible assets make an important contribution toeconomic growth. But our country intangible assets investment, fixed assets investmentstructure is not reasonable, intangible assets investment is growing, but the proportion is stillvery low; the proportion of fixed assets is high, but the use efficiency is low.This paper research based on the value creation principle of intangible assets and fixedassets, the research of intangible assets, fixed assets and business performance relationship,using descriptive statistics, the principal component analysis and regression analysis method.First, descriptive statistics on the current situation of intangible assets, fixed assets of2006-2010, describe the intangible assets, fixed assets investment situation of China listedcompanies at present; Second, the principal component analysis of the listed companyperformance evaluation, doing the comprehensive evaluation of the listed company ofbusiness performance; Finally, using regression analysis method, to proof the positivecorrelation between incremental intangible assets, incremental fixed assets and companyperformance, Intangible assets ratio, fixed assets ratio and business performance is inverselyrelated; Compare high-tech industries and high-tech industries enterprises’ intangible assets,fixed assets contributions. This conclusion have positive academic significance to furtherclarify the intangible assets, fixed assets, and improve the mechanism of managementperformance evaluation method, to expand the research field of intangible assets investment,fixed assets investment and business performance problems. At the same time, this studyprovide a new method and thinking for solving the intangible assets investment managementand fixed assets investment management problems of the listed company.
