In the era of knowledge economy, information technology has become an important tool for running of the business. The breakthrough and innovation of information technology has brought many opportunities for enteprise. The use of information technology for value creation is based on Understanding link of information technology investment and enterprise performance by empirical studies. This study represents an attempt to facilitate that electronic business would lead to profitability increases with extent to which electronic business contributes to the development of intangible assets, which have become a more and more important determinant in the era of knowledge economy. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine empirically the relationships among investment of electronic business, intangible assets and enteprise performance.Basing on the past literature review, this study develops a conceptual model involving investment of electronic business, intangible assets and enteprise performance and collects data of firms in China by questionnaire. In the data processing procedure, this study mainly uses confirmatory factor analysis, structural equation modeling and correlation analysis to verify the model and hypotheses in the study. After theoretical exploration and empirical study, conclusions of this study are as follows:(1) Structural equation modeling shows that the fit indicators of the model proposed by this study are acceptable, which presents that the model is consistent with data structure and have good constructive validity. Path analysis shows that intangible assets have direct impact on enterprise performance, and investment of electronic business is also positive effect on enterprise performance through supporting intangible assets.(2) The results of this study show that the measured dimensions of the components of intangible assets that are human capital, organizational capital and market capital include as following: There are four dimensions of human capital that are employees' capability, employees' exchange of knowledge, employee's education and training and employees' the level of salary. Organization capital involves four dimensions: organizational structure design, the ability to use information technology, intellectual property and information systems management framework.Relational market contains partnerships, customer-oriented operation, the customer relationship management and supply relationship.
