With the development of technologies and the increasing global competition, agreat deal of numerical control machines have been installed in domestic high-techmilitary factories. These machines are usedfor the production of complex and precisecomponents, and thus play an important role in the in time delivery of weapon orders.Once these machines break down, the production schedule will be delayed, and in thebad cases the weapon products will not be delivered in itme to the forces. So thestudy on the maintainability and supportability of these key numerical controlmachines has profound significance on the security of the country.The main purpose of this thesis is to find out the efficient solutions to the majorproblems existing in the supporting system of key numerical control machines, andthus to reduce loss and achieve efficient operation of the numerical control machines.The major contents of this thesis include the optimal organization of numericalcontrol maintenance system to fit for the characteristics of military products andconditions of manufacturing companies, increase of the availability of key numericalcontrol machines to meet the production demand of key production orders, andincrease of the reliability of key numerical control machines by practice ofreliability-centered maintenance principles.Finally, this thesis summarizes the study conclusions and gives somesuggestions for the further work.
