An Empirical Study On The Profitability Of GEM Listed Company In The Western China

In October30,2009, the concerned gem is formally opened. The western regionhopes promote the rapid economic development of western area through the gem market,but the results appear in acceptable. It is very important that how to use gem and withwhich to cultivate strategic new industry for the western region development such as theinformation technology, the new material, new energy and new medicine, biologicalmanufacturing, and it also has an significant function on transforming and upgradingtraditional industries, speeding up the economic structure transformation, promotingstrategic position in western region of China. Therefore, this article takes the westerngem companies as the research object, selecting the2010annual report released by thegem enterprise and relevant data of the China Securities Regulatory Commission datafor research evidence, interpreting the present development situation and characteristicsof western region gem listed companies, using factor analysis and regression analysismethod to explore the profitability of western region gem listed companies, reveals allsorts of problems faced by the western region gem listed companies at present in China,to provide data support to improve the profitability of companies listed on GEM of thewestern region through the final conclusion, making it more scientific and feasibility.According to this paper’s study train of thought: the first chapter: introduction.Firstly, it briefly explains the research background of the paper; secondly, it clearlygives out the purpose and meaning of development problem of western region gemlisted companies; finally it introduces the basic research framework and status at homeand abroad, at the meantime, it pointed out the innovations of the paper. The secondchapter: relevant theory summary. It introduces gem listed companies theory to providetheoretical basis for subsequent writing of this paper. Meanwhile, it states the concept,characteristics, function and the current development situation of gem market in ourcountry, etc. Finally, it introduces the factor analysis model and regression analysismodel, follow-up writing-oriented papers provide a theoretical basis. The third chapter: the analysis of current development situation and characteristics of western region gem.Firstly, it analyzes the release of the companies listed on GEM, Secondly, it analyzes thecurrent situation and characteristics of GEM listed companies in the western region. Thefourth chapter: introduce the western region GEM listed company profitability factoranalysis, based on the assumption-Variable Selection-variable design-data selectionstep, factor analysis of this paper to do the simple model introduced combined with therelevant data of the Annual Report of the2010GEM Enterprises empirical analysis,measurement of the profitability of the companies listed on GEM of the western region.The fifth chapter of the western region of GEM listed companies profitability regressionanalysis. Theories and methods of use of regression analysis, overall profitability,production and profitability of operating profitability and capital gains, and a detailedanalysis of these three factors affect the western region profitability of listed companies.
