As peoples’ living standard raise gradually, the diverse and personal demandincreases increasing, the product life cycle becomes shorter and shorter, which makesthe enterprise must innovate, and developing new products constantly. As manyenterprises operate more and more new product development projects, Facing numerousprojects selection and limited resources conditions, how to choose the new productdevelopment project portfolio that highly fit its strategic development target, andstrongly adapt each phase of its strategic development objectives becomes the firstproblem which needs to solve for the new product development project managementwork. How to distribution the new product development resources scientifically andreasonably, coordinate the project relationship in project portfolio, and reduce risks ofthe project portfolio, becomes an important problem to be solved in the new productdevelopment project management.The main research contents are as follows:This article first introduces concept of the new product development project andproject portfolio management, characteristics of new product development project andproject portfolio management, and gives the process of the new product developmentproject portfolio optimization at last.Secondly, reference the BSC thoughts; we get the primaries priority evaluationindex system of the new product development project. According to enterprise strategicstage of the development goals, and combined with the index characteristics, we choosefuzzy cluster analysis to screen the indexes, and finally we get the priority evaluationindex system of the new product development project, at last using the method ofentropy, we empower the above indexes, which make the evaluation results morescientific and reasonable.Thirdly, with results of above priority evaluation, in full consideration of theenterprise capital, human, and other resources related, risk accept degrees, and takeconsideration the correlation constraints, such as technology, revenue and resourcesamong projects, finally we set up a0-1programming model under priority entropy torealize the new product development project portfolio optimization, at last, usingLINGO9.0software to solve the model.Finally, the process and the model are applied to the new product development project portfolio optimization work, and analysis application effect, to verify thevalidity and scientific of the model.
