The Research On The Spatial Evolvement And Movement Of The Economic Gravity Center, Population Gravity Center And Consumption Gravity Center Of Xinjiang Based On GIS

Since China’s reform and opening, along with China’s regional disparities appearing,there are a large number of academic achievements on China’s regional economic disparitiesabout the feature, cause, evolution tendency and control measures. In the process, somescholars have studied on the evolution of China’s regional economic disparities and empiricalanalysis of the validity of the China’s regional economic policies of the past using economicgravity center analysis method. These results deeply reveal the historical evolution of theprocess of China’s regional economic structure and also provide us important theoreticalsupports to further explore the more reasonable policy to promote coordination developmentof regional economy. The “12th five-year plan” period in Xinjiang is the new stage of makingthe construction, optimizing the economic structure, promoting the social development andstrengthens the prospects of the peace and stability. Through the study of economic gravitycenter of Xinjiang, it can grasp the pulse of the economic development of Xinjiang, andprovide scientific basis for the development during the “12th five-year plan”.Based on the background and existing research results, this study focus on the evolutionpath of gravity center of economic, population, industry and consumption, and then provideeffective regional policies to promote regional development of Xinjiang by comparisonanalysis. This study includes seven parts. The first part introduces the background,significance and methods of the research. The second part focuses on the economic meaningand a brief description of measurement methods and focuses on space evolution mechanismof the gravity center of economic and population. The third part describes the movement routeof economic gravity center of Xinjiang in the view of industry gravity center. The fourth partdescribes the movement route of population gravity center of Xinjiang and analyzes theregional difference in Xinjiang. The fifth part describes the movement route of consumptiongravity center of Xinjiang and analyzes the regional difference in Xinjiang.The sixth partmakes a comparison analysis about the gravity center of economy, population, industry andthe consumption. The seventh part is not only emphasizes on the previous theoreticalsummary of the content, but also briefly summarizes some significant policyrecommendations.
