Study On The Relationship Between The Evolution Of Anhui Population Gravity Center Economic Gravity Center And Regional Economic Disparities

Since the reform and opening up, economic development of Anhui has made great achievements, but in the expanding regional economic disparities.At present, the Chinese economy has entered a new normal, the comprehensive development of society replacing GDP growth become the next focus of the work in the regions.Reducing regional economic disparities and promoting coordinated development of regional economic are important tasks of social development. Addressing regional economic disparities is an important task of building a moderately prosperous society and sustainable development in Anhui Province. Migration is an important factor of regional economic equalization process, and regional economic unbalanced is an important driving force leading to population movements. Using population gravity center and economic gravity center provide a more intuitive way to study the regional economic development in Anhui, which put Anhui flow of population and the economy as a whole expedition. This paper is in support of these theories of regional economics and human geography and other disciplines. Based on understanding demographic and economic situation in various regions of Anhui, it analysis the spatial-temporal evolution of population gravity center and economic gravity center. And using the EMD to analyze their changes and the impact mechanism on different scales, probing the relation between the evolution of population gravity center and economic gravity center and regional economic differences, doing empirical analysis of the factors affecting regional economic disparities, we hope to find ways to promote coordinated economic development in Anhui.Firstly, it find that the range of movement of economic gravity center is significantly greater than the population gravity center in 2000-2013 years by analyzing and comparing Anhui population gravity center and economic gravity center temporal evolution and comparative. In the process of evolution of gravity center, they have the same direction of movement, generally moving from northwest to southeast. But in some years there will be two opposite moving trend, the whole gravity center showing a trend is moving back and forth repeatedly. The process of population gravity center and economic gravity center change can be divided into four phases, in the first phase and the third phase they tend to move South, and in the second stage and fourth stage tend to move west.Secondly, doing a response mechanism analysis of Anhui population gravity center and economic gravity center by the time multiscale analysis, it find that in the 4-year cycle and 5--7-year cycle the trend change of the economic gravity center is small, comparing the trend change of population gravity center from lagging to consistency. which is due to north-south geographical distribution of Anhui, interval in EW direction is shorter and transportation is convenient; in the NS direction in the two-year period the population gravity center is closely related to economic gravity center, roughly has the same change trend, but the moving of population gravity center is constantly increasing lag effect.Thirdly, studying the relation between the evolution of Anhui population gravity center and economic gravity center and regional economic disparities, it found that the correlation coefficient between the distance of the population gravity center and economic gravity center and Theil index is 0.9716. there is a very strong positive correlation between the two. The evolution of population gravity center and economic gravity center will affect the size of the regional economic disparities.The difference of moving speed and direction between population gravity center and economic gravity center is the direct cause of changes in the regional economic differences in different time period in 2000-2013 years.Finally, we study empirical analysis of the factors affecting regional economic disparities. It find that increasing the labor compensation share in Anhui GDP is an important way reducing the regional economic disparities; due to industrial development in the different regions vary widely, rising proportion of the secondary industry will expand regional economic disparities, increasing the proportion of the first industry and the third industry will reduce regional economic differences. it should encourage the development of the third industry; due to foreign investment in Anhui Province to improve the return on investment is gradually tilted to underdeveloped regions, it attracts foreign investment to some extent alleviate the Anhui regional economic disparity.Based on the above analysis, the key to reducing regional economic disparities in Anhui Province is to promote population gravity center and economic gravity center the moving direction and speed of the progressive harmonization, so that the two distance decreases. Which requires reform the household registration system, and increase the labor compensation share in Anhui GDP in the process of economic development, vigorously develop the secondary industry and vigorously attract foreign investment.
