With city’s quick extending and city life pace’s speedingup,people are paying more and more attention on how to take a leisurely life and howto keep healthy. As a kind of travel forms, hot-spring-tourism adapts to people’sleisure, resort and health care needs, meets mordern people’s tourism request. As aresult, people’s need to hot-spring-tourism is growing rapidly.Hot-spring resources in xi’an city are quite rich, the using history is also very long,can be dated back to Zhou dynasty. The hot-spring companies which have certainscale are already9, they locate in Lintong, Lantian, Chang’an and nearby places ofXi’an. But so far the entirely development of hot spring tourism in Xi’an still hasmany problems, like the excavation of hot-spring culture; the exploition of hot-springproducts; the brand promotion of hot spring; the management of hot-spring company.There are plenty questions which need to be solved. In order to make use ofhot-spring recource effectively, extend tourism product system, improve Xi’an ‘sregional tourism industry competitive capability, it is very nessary to do research onXi’an hot-spring-tourism.This paper use following research methods: literature analysis, questionnaire survey,on-the-spot investigation and data statistic and analysis. On the basis of studyinghot-spring-torism literature of domestic and overseas, we do detailed analysis andcomprehensive evaluation an market segment, traffic condition, hot-spring-tourismculture, policy support conditions and other factors that influence hot-spring-tourismdevelopment of Xi’an. According to different hot-spring resource, tourist features,Xi’an should develope medium and high end tourism products with the theme of“Health and Recuperation”,“Touring and Entertainment”,“Culture and Experience”and “Comprehensive Resort”. In addition, Xi’an city shall be perfecting laws and regulations, strengthen professional association, founded hot spring cultivation oftalents, so that we will provide protection for hot spring tourism sustainabledevelopment.
