In current years, China’s openness has improved and intensified as the development of economical globalization. The concept of social responsibility of enterprise, along with transmission of global companies, becomes more recognized among public. There are more logos known by us gradually, such as "enterprise citizen", "social responsibility of enterprise", and "sustainable development", etc. The social responsibility of enterprise has become a heated topic rapidly, since it dovetails with the purpose of our construction of harmonious society; furthermore, in recent years, focus on the enterprise’s commitment has been aroused nation widely due to some economical and social affairs. Naturally, enterprise’s responsibility attracts attentions from China’s academy. Commercial banks going public are keystones of banking industry, controlling financial lifeblood, promoting economically sustainable and rapid development, protecting nationally financial security and stability. The listed commercial banks are characterized by operation under high level of debt, leading the distribution of financial resource, preserving broad and close interest relevancy, and so on. These characteristics refer to its larger amount of social commitment than other ordinal companies. Meanwhile, any fluctuation among listed banks may result in big bang in financial yield because of their rule of keystones in modern economy, that is, the situation of banking industry can influence the operation of whole society and economy. Hence, sustainable development of economy can only be obtained under the sustainable development of listed banks themselves.On the background of recent waves of commercial banks’acceleration of going public at home or abroad, listed commercial banks will be supervised broadly and strictly. Investors do not only care about financial target and performance of operation, but also concern banks’images and behaviors. In the mean time, as foreign commercial banks extend their businesses in China’s market and our banks extended to foreign markets, those listed banks must comply with stricter disciplines and update actively. Only by being adapt to international rules and promoting their capabilities of competition, can they survive in the seriously competitive market. We must note that our banks have lost some gains for ignoring requirements of international social responsibility, which has triggered a series of disadvantages for banks themselves. Therefore, writing social responsibility into strategy plans and developing sustainably through fulfilling social responsibility make sense in the process of going public and going worldwide. Hence this paper bases on the theory of social responsibility of enterprise and depicts the situation of fulfilling of social responsibility and sustainable development of China’s listed commercial banks from many aspects. And the paper analyses the relationship between social responsibility and sustainable development; then the paper plans to supply a suggestive sustainably developing model based on the analysis of China industry bank; and finally some political suggestion are made in the paper. According to the contents and research think, the paper is partitioned into six chapters.Chapter 1, introduction. This sector depicts the background, meaning and purpose of the paper. When introducing the background of the topic, the perspective is shifted from foreign to domestic, from inner factors to outer factors. Meanwhile the paper introduces deliberately the significance and purpose of the topic.Chapter 2, Literature Review. This part, both from foreign and domestic, summarizes the research on literature of social responsibility of enterprise, Including foreign and domestic regulations and laws on social responsibility of enterprise, the rise of corporate social responsibility at home and abroad, definition of social responsibility of enterprise from different scholars, institutions and organizations, and the influence of fulfilling social responsibility to enterprises.Chapter 3, Overview of Social Responsibility of listed banks in China. First, according to the research on social responsibility, the concept of social responsibility of the listed banks are defined; second, the paper depicts the current status of social responsibility of listed commercial banks; finally the paper note that listed banks should fulfill the social responsibility, including shareholders, government, employees, financial consumers, debtors, and community, etc.Chapter 4, the sustainable development of China’s listed banks. First of all the definition of sustainable development of China’s listed banks is given, explaining the substance of their sustainable development; followed by the summary of the current several ways to achieve sustainable development, then the paper obtains corporate social responsibility oriented path selection.Chapter 5, the relationship between social responsibility and sustainable development of China’s listed banks. First, the discussion of the internal links between social responsibility and sustainable development offers a theoretical foundation for the choice of corporate social responsibility-based model; second, the effect of fulfilling the socially responsible on sustainable development is discussed; third, the analysis of the achievement sustainable development of China Industrial Bank provides a reference to the choice of the model.Chapter 6, the policy recommendations. According to previous analysis and conclusions, some suggestions on how to more effectively fulfill the listed banks’ social responsibility are provided, in order to achieve its own sustainable development.The main contribution of this paper is the analysis on social responsibility of enterprise combining with its sustainable development; and the paper promotes, via analysis of actual case, absorption social responsibility of enterprise into listed banks’commercial models; furthermore there will be unmanageable social responsibility within their business activities, so that their economic decision-making and business processes can be better guided. In addition to practical guidance, the paper complements the academy with the research on social responsibility of listed banks and sustainable development, setting guidance for follow-up researches.
