The theory of corporate social responsibility thinks that the enterprise is an important part of the whole social economic operation system,the development of enterprises should pay attention to other individual interests in society,enterprises should actively fulfill social responsibility.The sustainable development of enterprise theory thinks that enterprise development and the environment,society and population development should be maintain coordinated,which can not only meet the short-term profit growth,but also do not harm the long-term profit growth.,reflects the level of corporate profits continued to grow in the long term,the enterprise has a long survival life etc..At present,our national government pay more attention to corporate social responsibility,corporate social responsibility has been written in key areas of the rule of law.China's enterprises have a short life span,the small and medium enterprises average survival only 2.5 years,the company's long-term sustainable development ability is clearly not optimistic.Under the realistic choice that enterprises need to bear the corresponding social responsibility,and under the realistic background of the enterprise's long-term sustainable development ability is weak,based on the studies of many scholars at home and abroad,this paper analysis the influence of social responsibility on sustainable development,in order to provide useful inspiration to promote the long-term sustainable development of enterprises,and to provide more objective and reality basis to promote the enterprises to fulfill social responsibility.In addition,the food safety problem is a social focus problem.“the most stringen” food safety law has began to implement,and on the face of it,government attaches great importance to food safety.Based on that,this paper takes food industry as an example to analyze the corporate social responsibility and sustainable development,which has certain practical significance.At the same time,the results of theoretical research at home and abroad alike,but the empirical results are different because of the different industries,therefore,this article from the perspective of empirical to research.This paper first introduces the theory of corporate social responsibility and sustainable development,and combs the domestic and foreign scholars' research on corporate social responsibility and sustainable development.Then,the empirical analysis includes the establishment of variable evaluation system,sample selection and data processing,statistical analysis,the construction of sustainable development index,the multiple regression analysis.Based on the stakeholder theory,this paper selects the variables of corporate social responsibility including consumer responsibility,employee responsibility,government responsibility,legal responsibility,environmental responsibility and public responsibility.Based on the theory of sustainable development,the long-term profitability and development capacity of enterprises are selected to evaluate the sustainable development of enterprises.Based on the enterprise life cycle theory,this paper pick out 41 companies samples,which have been survived in the food industry at least 12 years and did not change the industry.The empirical results show that: on the whole,the listed companies in the food industry play a significant role in promoting the sustainable development of enterprises,and there is a significant positive correlation between the legal responsibility,the government responsibility,the public responsibility and sustainable development of food enterprises.Finally,this paper based on the empirical research process and conclusion,and the case analysis,to put forward some countermeasures and suggestions: first,food enterprises should pay attention to competitive differentiation and to enhance consumer confidence;second,food enterprises should Pay attention to environmental protection,and establish long-term dynamic management strategy;third,food enterprises should conscientiously fulfill the law responsibility and government responsibility,to promote the long-term development of enterprises;fourth,food enterprises should improve the staff motivation mechanism,and mobilize the enthusiasm of employees;fifth,food enterprises should keen on social welfare,to achieve a win-win situation between the enterprise and social.
