The thesis makes a comprehensive analysis on business competitions, core competitiveness, and strategic theories on entrepreneurial competition. And in line with basic conditions of Deyang JF Machinery Works, the thesis makes a deeper analysis on the opportunities and challenges the works is facing by analyzing exterior surroundings that the works faces, like the macro-economic environment and policies, industrial trend and competition status-quo, and the works’inner conditions like its own advantages and disadvantages as well. The business should be market-oriented and centered on profits, and are obligated to improve their own management, marketing and cost control capacity by making full use of trend of national macro-policies, Revitalizing and Development Plan of Equipment Manufacturing Industry, preferential policies for Western Development and reconstruction after 2008 Wenchuan Earthquake, and the country’s mass fiscal input to infrastructure construction after the financial crisis. It should take adjustment of product-line structure as a breakthrough, fully utilize its advantage in flexibility for small-sized enterprises, consolidate its own edge in production, processing, workmanship and techniques on one hand, and pro-actively seek opportunities for enterprise structure adjustment, technical innovation, development of self-owned products and intellectual property rights. The works will strive for a double annual output by 2015, and achieve a goal for preliminary product-line structure adjustment. Based on these factors, development strategy and strategic goals for Deyang JF Machinery Works have been drafted. The works will perform relevant multi-business development strategy on the basis of stabilizing current product-line business and low costs. This development strategy is the very first 5-year development plan for the business, realizing its own breakthrough in business strategy planning. It will have significance in the business’s looking for new ideas for development, further adjustment of product-line structure, and improvement of its competiveness. In the mean time, the thesis offers reference significance for other small-and-medium-sized processing enterprises like Deyang JF Machinery Works.
