| Cashmere is a renewable but limited special animal fiber as a precious textile materials and it is known as the "diamond fiber," "soft gold" in the world wide. The world’s cashmere industry has gone through 150 years and China’s cashmere processing industry also has developed rapidly after reform and opening up. At present, China is the world’s largest cashmere States leaped to the world’s largest cashmere processing, exporting and consuming country from the largest producing state. Cashmere production accounts for more than 75% of the whole world. China’s cashmere products exports surged especially after joining the WTO, directly contributing to continuously expand of cashmere industry. However, together with expends of cashmere industry and gradual market demand growth, there are a number of problems during the period of development, such as lack of national famous brands, short of technology innovation and product development, chaos of market distribution etc. All these factors restricted the sustainable development of China’s cashmere industry in foreign trade.Taking the sustainable development problems of China’s cashmere industry in foreign trade as research object, and together with the method of normative analysis, this paper analyze situation with export opportunities and challenges of China’s cashmere industry, and the situation of international cashmere market, with this to discuss deeply the current problems and analyze the reason. Then put forward some measurements to accelerate the sustainable development of China’s cashmere industry, there are:from government level, firstly, government should to actively guide and support the cashmere brand, and encouraging enterprises to develop technological innovation and improve competitiveness of product; Second, we must actively establish a unified market of cashmere and cashmere industry, export information system, while paying attention to the protection of ecological environment in order to promote the sustainable development of China’s cashmere industry. From Industry association level, we must first strengthen the construction of industry associations; secondly, cashmere industry should to improve market access barriers, strengthen the early warning mechanism for the whole cashmere industry. From the enterprise level, to strengthen the construction of independent brands of cashmere products, enhance technological innovation to enhance the competitiveness of our country. With these strategies, accelerate the sustainable development of China’s cashmere industry in foreign trade and strive to be a great cashmere power of world. |
