Small-and-medium-sized Banks in this paper is defined as regional commercial banks and credit cooperatives, except China’s four state-owned commercial banks and joint-stock banks.From the current situation, small and medium sized banks in China’s banking system is still relatively low in proportion, and cannot compare with other Big Bank in size.owned their characteristics, they are flexible and have regional competitive advantage. Small-and-medium-sized Banks must see how to enhance information management level, so as to have the difference in competition is a wise move. This Paper will explore that how to develop through the Construction of Data Warhouse for Small-and-medium-sized Banks.For Small-and-medium-sized Banks, they are both weak in business scale or corporate governance, compared with Big Bank. Therefore, the most sensible option is to determine the market differentiation strategy, place information more fully, service efficiency to have more room to improve the relative comparative advantage.The first chapter briefly introduces the development of China’s banking industry trends in information technology, as well as Small-and-medium-sized Banks in which the historical stage of development and challenges. The second chapter introduces the basic ideas of data warehouse construction.According to the realities faced by small and medium banks, analyzes the importance of building data warehouse and necessity. The third chapter case study approach, describes the construction of small and medium banks data warehouse ideas, methods, and the value of the business; Fourth chapter presents how to build Small-and-medium-sized banks in the data warehouse-based management information system, proposed methodology. Five Chapter summary and outlook, proposed the construction deficiencies that may exist in ideas, and prospected the the next generation of data warehouse technology.
