Study On The Role Of Local Governments In The Development Of Industrial Clusters

Since the 1990s,study on industrial clusters has been an important part of Regional Economics,Industrial Economics and Economic Geography.Amongst the many reasons for the formation of industrial clusters, the behavior of government is a key factor。In this article, taking the 50 years’ history of Huangyan’s Mold Industrial Cluster as an example,we make a profound analysis on the role played by local government in various stage of the development process of industrial clusters from its emerging、booming to clustering、bring forward the role of local government and the measures the government shall take for promoting the upgrading of industrial cluster;and finally conclude the different roles played by the government at different industrial clusters。...
