Application Of The Theory Of Planning And Designing Interpretive Signs For Ecotourism Areas

As most ecotourism areas in China still don’t have independent interpretive planning system, the interpretive signs in these areas are in short of planning and designing standards. They can’t fully embody the environmental education function of ecotourism. This paper conducts a study on planning and designing interpretive signs for ecotourism areas. A set of theory and methods about it is derived. Hope it can provide reference for the planning and designing work of interpretive signs for ecotourism areas in China and improve the environmental function of ecotourism.Based on deeply analyzing planning and designing theory of interpretive signs in ecotourism areas, this paper puts forward a set of theory which include the flow path, principles and tricks about planning and designing interpretive signs for ecotourism areas. This paper also applied the theory into reality by studying the case of Helanshan Suyukou National Forest Park. At last, a part of the interpretive signs are chosen for studying the principles and tricks implemented in the signs.
