The Impact Of EU TBT On Guangdong Toy Export And Countermeasures

Under the background of economic integration, non-tariff measures are limited and restrictedbecause of its distinction, such as dominant tariff, import and export quota, license and so on. While,for its flexibility, concealment and rationality on the surface, technical barriers to trade hasgradually become the main part of international trade barriers. Particularly, developed countries andregions, such as European Union, protect their trades by technology and economic advantage. Andit has been important factor that block international trade to be normal developing. China is thebiggest toy produce and export country, and Guangdong is the biggest toy produce province inChina, meanwhile European union is one of our most important trade partners. So it is important toresearch European Union’s trade barriers and its impacts on toy exporting in Guangdong. This thesismakes theoretical and empirical analysis on European technical trade barriers and its impacts onGuangdong toy export. Also, it puts forward the countermeasures and advices.At first, this thesis reviews the previous researches, and it also makes a conclusion on theirresearch measures and achievements. Then, it analysis the differences and contacts on technicalbarriers between European union and other developed countries, and it analysis toy export’s presentsituation and reasons that Guangdong suffered by European union, and bases on the previousresearches and the features.
